This pair of paintings was inspired by the olive groves outside my studio window on Monte Morello, just above Florence.
Working with watercolor, ink, graphite, and monoprint textures on Arches paper, I explored the quiet rhythm between land and sky — simplifying the landscape into gesture, color, and movement.
The two panels are designed to be displayed together as a diptych, allowing the composition to breathe across the space between them.
Minimal yet vibrant, the work reflects the changing light and energy of the Tuscan hillside.
